Inspiration
MailPilot was inspired by a simple but common problem: sending hundreds of personalized emails with different documents is time-consuming and prone to human errors. We wanted to make this process faster, smarter, and effortless.
What it does
MailPilot automates personalized document-based email delivery. It reads recipient details from Excel/CSV, matches each recipient with the correct document, attaches it automatically, and sends personalized emails in bulk.
How we built it
We built MailPilot using Next.js, React, TypeScript, Node.js, Nodemailer, and XLSX. The application processes spreadsheet data, validates documents, prepares personalized emails, and handles automated delivery through an email service.
Challenges we ran into
Our biggest challenges were accurate document matching, file validation, email authentication, handling missing files, and deploying the application reliably.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We transformed a repetitive manual workflow into a simple, automated, and scalable solution. MailPilot reduces human effort while minimizing attachment and recipient errors.
What we learned
We learned how to integrate frontend, backend, file processing, email services, and deployment into one complete real-world application.
What's next for MAILPILOT
We plan to make MailPilot more intelligent with AI-powered email personalization, delivery tracking, scheduling, analytics, templates, and support for multiple email providers.
