Where do you wanna eat? Anywhere. Ok but like WHERE tho???
The Anywhere App will help users to find local restaurants that they will enjoy!

What it does

Recommend Restaurants based on the user's mood and location

How we built it

Using Python for backend and HTML,CSS and JS for frontend. Used the Yelp API to find the top searches for restaurants then looked a Google Reviews to find restaurant environments.

I worked on consolidating the information that was taken and calculating the ratings for the restaurant using Python! It was my first time using Flask and handling JSON files.

I did all of the front end! It was also my first time working on a project with others and it was really fun!

I worked on the back end doing all the webscraping and some of the code to pull from the yelp api. Learned how to use flask and this project was definitely fun!

Hilton Truong
I worked on extracting the data by utilizing yelp API to get the necessary information into the desired format; at the same time, I was also the team's Git specialist. Learned the process of establishing connection between front and back end of a website using flask. The project was a really enjoyable experience!
