Maharashtra is rich with incredible weekend getaways and adventures, but users often struggle with fragmented platforms when discovering and booking them. We wanted to build a single, visually striking, and seamless experience that makes planning weekend trips easy and exciting.

What it does

MahaExplore is a comprehensive platform designed to help users discover, compare, and instantly book adventure activities in Maharashtra. From trekking and rafting to serene weekend resorts, it simplifies the user journey from exploration to checkout.

How we built it

As a designer, I focused heavily on UI/UX optimization. I researched user needs for travel platforms and mapped out a clean, modern user journey. I crafted high-fidelity visual screens, focusing on an intuitive filter system, clear price comparisons, and a streamlined, secure booking flow to maximize conversions and user retention.

Challenges we ran into

One of the main challenges was structuring a massive amount of dynamic travel data (locations, activities, price variations) into a clean, minimalist design that doesn't overwhelm the user. Balancing beautiful imagery with fast-loading visual design required careful layout planning.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully created an intuitive and engaging interface that bridges the gap between adventure seeking and effortless booking, prioritizing a flawless mobile-first user experience.

What we learned

We gained deeper insights into tourism UI/UX design patterns, specifically how micro-interactions and clear navigation paths directly affect user decision-making during the booking process.
