Inspiration

Inspired by the terrible statistics of missing children, and things that happen to missing people.

What it does

Uses Wi-Fi and email server signals to send pings to a central server. If there is not a ping within a certain period of time, then an alert is sent and the parent should check/contact the child.

How we built it

Using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, node.js, electron.js, and other packages, we coded a sort of interface to accept information from the user, and "track" them.

Challenges we ran into

Finding the right packages, code running smoothly, and to be honest, at first, the idea!

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Creating a half-decent website Learning new things that I would not have learned had I not come to this event

What we learned

Certain programming procedures Some JavaScript How to deal with struggles

What's next for MAHacks

More Hackathons!
