Inspiration
We were inspired by the sustainability competition that Hacktoon offered. It got our group to think of ways we could build a website to help the environment in a positive way.
What it does
Our website is designed to randomly generate quests a user can complete under the honor policy. These quests involve the user performing eco-friendly and sustainable activities such as riding a bike to school or picking up trash.
How we built it
We built the website based on Python.
Challenges we ran into
Our original plan was to make a game that was interactive while the user also had to perform tasks based on the honor policy to earn in-game rewards. However, as time ran low, our group shifted our focus to getting the point of sustainability across the table. We made our final bet to make a website that would display tasks for a user to complete and help our environment.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Though our code ran into issues constantly, we are proud that we persisted to resolve the issue and finish the project to the very end. All members of our team were very committed and constantly finding ways to make our project unique.
What we learned
We learned to come up with a manageable idea instead of shooting too high about our capabilities. We can always improve on our idea if time allows.
What's next for Untitled
We are looking forward to participating in the next hackathon and are eager to give it our all again.
