Inspiration

I wanted to build something thats unique and new so I thought why not combine artistic side with electronics and make something and I started doing this project.

What it does

It is a magical wand with CircuitPlaygroundExpress as Heart of my project. It allows us to paint on Air!, Yes on air which can also be used on photography to make cool artistic Light Effects on our photos.

How I built it

I flashed the CircuitPlayground Express first and then installed Mu Editor which allows us to write python program on CircuitPlayground Express. Then I programmed it to show different colors and I installed app on phone that allows exposure Photography and I made some Air Arts(Light Painting) from it.

Challenges I ran into

Actually it would be best to have a camera to do this project because DSLRs could allow Light painting photography more perfect but I didnt had that so I found a way to do on smartphone and then later built my project. I didnt had a powerbank or battery with me to make my project portable but I managed it to do with the help of laptop and datacable to complete the project anyhow.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I am happy that I did something new on the theme this time and I am really excited to try out new things with it and I got some interest on Light Photography after this project and I am definitely gonna make more cool arts from it.

What I learned

This time I not only learned programming on CircuitPython but also basics of photography and how people do Light Photography to enhance Photos.

What's next for Magical Air Paint Wand

I am planning to make it portable at first and then adding more components like tubes and all so that I can create more effects to the photos. I am also planning to add potentiometers so I can adjust brightness manually with the help of potentiometer and also some capacitive touches to make different color patterns.
