Inspiration
I love developing Apps in Magic Leap and have a Magic Leap One AR MR XR VR Headset and Body Computer. I have been creating apps with Unity 3D, C# and the Magic Leap Remote Server Simulator and Magic Leap Package Manager Lumin OS SDK.
I want to create an App for their App store and we all love our pets and animals, so I want to create at the Hackathon Magic Pets My Holographic Pets
What it does
This Magic Leap App Magic Pets allow you to spawn / make appear and create your Very Own Magic Leap Pet Holograms out of some kids of cats and dogs to choose from. In God Mode You Can Make It Rain Cats and Dogs! The pet you choose will be hovering in the air in front of you so that you can always have the company of your favorite virtual hologram companion in Mixed Reality with Magic Leap. It can make pets appear with the gaze of your eyes, you can use your hands with gestures to control the pets in numerous ways.
How I built it
3D Modeling and Texturing. Character 3D Animation. Unity 3D, C#, C API, Magic Leap Package Manager, Command Line Interface, Magic Leap Remote Server, test the app in the Magic Leap headset in reality and how to do many things, eye gazes, gestures, and working on making a nice full app.
Challenges I ran into
I am making apps, but I still need to work on linking scenes together and the action binding. Problems with adding textures to models sometimes with multiple textures, materials and materials when Unity 3D import doesn't add textures to materials.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I just won the AT&T Create-A-Thon 1st Prize use of Film/TV Emerging Technologies using Magic Leap. I recently was accepted into the Television Academy. I work on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, have a show on Netflix Llama Llama w Jennifer Garner. I am getting ready to Launch a Nickelodeon TV animation Series Rainbow Rangers. I am proud that I have made numerous Magic Leap Apps and that the Apps I make will have many use cases for the people in the world in all industries, entertainment, government, safety, law enforcement, fire, business all industries and personal, social. I am 15 Year Google Partner, Google Video, Google Helpouts, YouTube 14 Years and YouTube Space LA Producer Partner 6 Years now. I have a TV Show in Santa Barbara for 15 years.
What I learned
I learned that to make a nice App in Magic Leap there are many options and variables. Need to work in many environments simultaneously including: 3D Modeling and Texturing. Character 3D Animation. Unity 3D, C#, C API, Magic Leap Package Manager, Command Line Interface, Magic Leap Remote Server, test the app in the Magic Leap headset in reality and how to do many things, eye gazes, gestures, and working on making a nice full app.
What's next for Magic Pets My Holographic Pets
I'd like to get seed angel funding to grow the App through digital marketing and sell it or give it away with sponsors in the Magic Leap App Store. Expand more pets, and then offer 3D scanning of peoples pets so their pet can live forever as a 3D animated hologram with their bark or meow. To get Magic Leap into the hands of the public and the people so they can benefit from this Mixed Reality Technology.
