Inspiration The film draws inspiration from iconic films such Madmax and I Am Legend. At the same time, it develops a dystopian vision that questions the limits between reality and simulation. The story was conceived from my imagination, shaped by the desire to explore a fiction within fiction: a vampire narrative that could itself be nothing more than a virtual game. The final scene, with the hero’s son playing in virtual reality, reinforces this ambiguity—was everything we saw real, or only an artificial construct inside a videogame? Creative Process I began by writing the concept directly from my personal vision. From there, I produced still frames to establish tone and atmosphere, using MidJourney and Google NanoBanana. These images served as the foundation for the film’s look. The narrative then evolved through video generation, dubbing, and soundtrack creation. Tools Used The project combined several generative AI platforms: • MidJourney and Google NanoBanana for creating key still images and visual exploration. • Kling AI and Higgsfield for video generation and motion sequences. • Suno for music composition and sound design. • Premiere Pro for editing, assembly, and final polish. Challenges The main challenge was maintaining consistency across tools with different outputs. Ensuring character continuity and atmosphere required extensive testing and iteration. Another challenge was synchronizing voices, music, and visuals to sustain the emotional tone of the narrative. Reflection MADPRESS is not only about vampires and dystopia—it is about uncertainty. The horror and emotion may be real within the film’s world, or they may be artificial, a fiction within a fiction, imagined by the child at the end inside a game. This deliberate ambiguity mirrors the role of AI in cinema today: constantly making us wonder what is authentic, what is artificial, and whether the distinction even matters.
