Inspiration
Our inspiration for this project was to create a bot that fits the valentines them as well as qualify for funniest hack award. It is all of our first times attending a hackathon and we wanted to make a fun and interactive hack.
What it does
Plays a game of MadLibs when you use the commands ".amogus" or ".ls" Prints a random pickup line when you use the command ".pickup"
How we built it
We built this bot using python and collaboratively coded and ran the bot through replit.
Challenges we ran into
A challenge we ran into was figuring out how to effectively take user input through discord so that we could fill in the blanks for the madlibs.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
An accomplishment we are proud of is learning the discord.py API in order to program the bot.
What we learned
We learned how to create a functioning discord bot that others are able to interact with.
What's next for MadLibs Discord Bot
The next steps for the bot are probably adding additional features such as secret (valentine's) messages as well as extra madlibs.
