Made for Her

Inspiration

The inspiration behind "Made for Her" sprang from a simple yet profound realization that women's health is intricately complex and deeply personal. I recognized a gap in the digital health landscape—a lack of personalized, accessible tools designed specifically for women. With the advent of generative AI, I saw an opportunity to bridge this gap, crafting an application that not only understands but also anticipates the unique health and wellness needs of women. Our mission was to create a platform that empowers women to take control of their health, providing them with the insights, support, and companionship they deserve.

What it does

"Made for Her" leverages the power of generative AI using AWS Bedrock to offer a comprehensive suite of health and wellness features tailored to women. It serves as a personal health companion, providing personalized tips based on age, tracking menstrual cycles with accuracy, and offering daily health gauges through intuitive AI feedback. Additionally, the app introduces Dr. Pinky, an AI chatbot that simulates conversations with a healthcare professional, offering advice and emotional support. Through these features, "Made for Her" aims to empower women with knowledge, support, and a sense of community.

How it was built

To build "Made for Her," I combined AWS Generative AI technology with insights I got on women's health. Which started with a little research on the top issues women face in their daily wellbeing these helped in giving more insights on the problem I am trying to solve. Using Aws Partyrock, I was able to use the data and insights gotten to feed the inputs and also create a an engaging user interface, The prompts were broken down into different sections which based on a particular goal making health tracking and guidance both accessible and appealing. together to create a user-friendly app.

Challenges I ran into

One of the main challenges I faced was ensuring the accuracy and reliability of AI-generated health advice. Balancing personalization with privacy concerns was also a significant hurdle, as we strived to create a secure platform that respects user data. Additionally, designing an AI chatbot that provides empathetic and accurate health advice required extensive research and development, pushing us to innovate and problem-solve continuously.

Accomplishments that I am proud of

I am incredibly proud of creating an application that stands as a testament to the potential of technology to positively impact women's health. Our integration of generative AI for personalized health insights marks a significant achievement in digital health innovation. Additionally, the development of Dr. Pinky, an empathetic AI chatbot, showcases our commitment to supporting women's emotional wellbeing. The positive feedback from the women who tried the app, affirming the app's future impact on their health journey, is our most cherished accomplishment.

What I learned

Throughout this journey, I learned the importance of empathy and user-centered design in healthcare technology. We gained insights into the diverse health needs of women and the power of AI to meet these needs in a personalized manner. This project also taught me about the challenges and opportunities in safeguarding user privacy while providing personalized health services, emphasizing the need for ethical AI development.

What's next for Made for Her

The future of "Made for Her" is bright and ambitious. We plan to expand our AI's capabilities to include more comprehensive health tracking and predictive analytics, offering insights into a wider range of health issues. Here are some of the future implementation i wish to add -Breast Cancer Awareness(A Prompt that gives tips on how women can protect themselves from breast cancer) -A more inclusive and diverse Chatbot( I hope to increase the chatbot engagement to cater for women from all over the world irrespective of where they are or from)

• Building a better body(For all women who wish to stay fit and maintain a better body I hope to add an AI fitness tracker companion feature that provides support for women during their fitness journey and helps them stay on track).
