Inspiration
We struggle to locate all the events in Madison, so we figured it'd be easy to centralize all the data in one spot.
What it does
Finds all events near Madison and allows the user to subset the data based on preferences.
How we built it
Mad-ertainment was built with a Flask backend and React.js frontend.
Challenges we ran into
Neither of us were super familiar with any topic we had to cover.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were able to successfully web scrape thousands of events and create a working React.js front end.
What we learned
We improved our skills regarding frameworks like Flask and React whilst diving deeper into topics like webscraping.

- Visualizing and plotting event data
- Implementing a search bar and categories of events to further specify data
- Migrate to cloud computing and utilizing kubernetes to improve webscraping resources, speed, and multithreading
