Don Draper Bot – Your Personal Madison Avenue Ad Man, On Demand Hackathon Project Story

My friends used to ask me to fix their WiFi or build them an app. They still ask about the WiFi—but thanks to AI, they don’t need help building apps anymore.

What they do need—and what I still specialize in—is taking those apps and actually making them work in the real world: hardened, production-ready, and aligned with use-case-specific SLAs. I run a technical launchpad focused on helping apps with revenue potential (up to $650K/year) get from prototype to performance. But I don’t just want to ship solid software—I want to launch products. That means nailing the marketing, too.

That’s where Don Draper Bot comes in.

As part of a broader system I call Mad Agents, Don Draper Bot is my AI-powered creative director—trained not just to write a tweet, but to architect entire campaigns. Ask Don for a campaign idea, and he'll take a long sip of whiskey (metaphorically), then return with pitch-perfect assets: social media posts, ad copy, taglines, and even a downloadable landing page. His voice is pure Madison Avenue—confident, stylish, a little dangerous—and his purpose is clear: help developers like me (and you) ship not just apps, but launches that resonate.

This hackathon was a great excuse to push into the newer frontier of AI tools—chaining prompts, templating brand voice, and building multi-touch marketing flows. AI may have lowered the barrier to app creation, but selling something? That’s still art. And I wanted a muse with a cigarette in one hand and a tagline in the other.

Don Draper Bot is that muse. And he's just getting started.
