Inspiration
We wanted an easy, user-friendly way to track meals and hit nutrition goals without the clutter of complex apps. MacroMaker was born to make tracking macros and calories simple and efficient.
What it does
MacroMaker helps users set and track their daily calorie and macronutrient goals, logging meals and providing a visual overview of progress towards targets.
How we built it
We built MacroMaker using SwiftUI for the interface and AppStorage for storing user data. The app relies on intuitive design to keep tracking straightforward and motivating.
Challenges we ran into
We faced challenges in creating an engaging yet minimalistic UI, as well as synchronizing data across various app views while keeping the app lightweight.
Accomplishments that we’re proud of
We’re proud of the smooth, clean UI and dynamic bar graphs that display real-time progress. Our app is intuitive and easy for anyone to start using right away.
What we learned
We gained experience in SwiftUI animations, data handling, and building an app focused on user experience and simplicity.
What’s next for MacroMaker
Future plans include expanding nutritional insights, adding personalized goal recommendations, and integrating with health platforms like Apple Health for seamless data syncing.
