Inspiration

We wanted to create a single stop for Machine Learning, aimed at both beginner and advanced programmers. Our focus was machine learning as it’s one of the buzzwords in today's society and an ever growing space that had tons of opportunities.

What it does

Our website has a collection of information in relation to machine learning.

Recognizing an opportunity to teach individuals about machine learning, we used data from the seaborn database to classify between the iris setosa, iris virginica and iris versicolor flowers. We used machine learning to create a decision tree which would use an algorithm to optimize the species of the flowers based on sepal width, sepal length, petal width and petal length. We then analyzed the decision tree and created an easy to follow, step by step program that would teach users how to apply the code to other problems they are passionate about.

How we built it

Our website was created from scratch using HTML, CSS, SASS and JavaScript.

Challenges we ran into

We had a hard time trying to figure out how to centre an image.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are super proud of the amazing website we built that goes in depth about machine learning.

What we learned

We learned a lot about machine learning and how it works. One of our team levered who heavily contributed to our ML algorithm just picked up python a week prior.

What's next for Machine Learning 101

Our next goal is to improve upon the website, add even more examples and create a forum where people interested in the topic can discuss and learn together.
