Inspiration

In today's day and age we have way too many options to do anything which becomes overwhelming for most people and it can stop us from starting anything at all. Our website offers limited features which forces the users to prioritise their tasks and helps them "lock in"!

What it does

This website combines simulates a relaxing cafe atmosphere with different productivity features such as a timer for periods of focused work, music (jazz or lofi), and different whiteboards along with drawing and sticky notes options to keep track of your studies and daily lives. This website has limitations in regards to what a user can do specifically in order to encourage them to LOCK IN and prioritize their tasks. Relaxing Vibe: Listen to jazz or lofi music while you work, creating a calming atmosphere. Focus Timer: Set a timer for focus periods to help you concentrate on your tasks. Whiteboards: Create and manage whiteboards for your projects. Each whiteboard includes a drawing canvas and sticky notes for your ideas and plans, along with tasks lists and progress bars to help you know exactly what you have completed and what your progress is. Task Prioritization: The application limits your options, helping you prioritize your tasks and stay organized.

How we built it

We built this website using React JS, Vite, Tailwind, Node.js, and npm

Challenges we ran into

Over this weekend, there are many challenges that we ran into: navigating technology we're not very familiar with yet over a short period of time to build a big project was definitely our biggest hurdle. Turning our idea into reality through code, and error handling (fixing them, not actually handling them!!) was also a big challenge.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of having participated in this hackathon, worked on it to the best of our abilities, and coming up with a solution to a problem and implementing it in a short period of time in a stressful environment

What we learned

We learnt many different soft skills as well as technical skills. the soft skills we learnt included working in a team, splitting tasks among ourselves, coming up with a solution in a short period of time, and helping each other throughout the whole process. The technical skills we learnt included new features of react, and the tailwind CSS library

What's next for us?

Hopefully the continual development of our soft skills and technological expertises with events like this.
