On average, the Philippines experience around 20 storms and typhoons a year. 🔗 Just last year, Volcano Taal erupted and covered surrounding areas in ashes.
It's more important now than ever to use tech to help with relief aid :)
repo does not include -shapefiles/bin file (due to filesize/upload time)
- site is static (does not update because i'd need to deploy flask and that is an extra step)
- (however, running twitter-api-geolocation.py, updates the map)
- you can't run it unless you have the shapefiles and twitter API access tokens ( find your own shapefie file size is huge / come in zips lol and I wouldn't want to expose my access tokens)
