Inspiration
Whenever I go to perform Omra, I face a lot of pilgrims of different nationalities who asks me to help them. Unfortunately I can't help them because they can't speak English or Arab language.
I have always wondered how can i solve this problem with my capabilities. When I saw the announcement on Twitter , I said that's it. I'll find who will help me to achieve my view and really I found them.
What it does
Scan the QR code of the pilgrim's Tag to define his language and his nationality to help him locate his guider and help him to solve his problems .
How we built it
using QR reader from our web application to read the TAG (which contains QR Code) of the pilgrim to identify his language and country with the google translator + google map's api.
Challenges we ran into
how to integrate the map with the database.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
made friends while doing our favorite habit and building a team from different countries in a limited time.
What we learned
teamwork , responsibility and new type of things in other fields such as programming languages and such.
What's next for Mabroor
developing it for the next level , a bigger system to be the main translator in hajj season.
