Inspiration
There are health risks and effects that need to be addressed in order to ensure the delivery of effective health services. Gatherings like this can result in an increase in health cases. Therefore, it is important to work on the provision of on-demand medical services, effective transport of patients and the injured, and solutions for handling with care minor injuries and diseases. Additionally, specialists face difficulty in diagnosing patients quickly due to, the age of the patient, the language difference or unavailability of a health file.
What it does
Our products enable emergency medical support for pilgrims by providing medical staff real-time location of pilgrims. The request sent from the pilgrims will be automatically sent to the designated medical facility based on the symptoms the pilgrims send.
How we built it
We are building this application with as a web application that will use a PHP Laravel Server, it will make use of the fast and responsive PHP Architecture Server. It is built for two main different users. Pilgrim Users and Medical Users whom can be considered as service providers. We also build this to be responsive with bootstrap framework.
Challenges we ran into
We first were concerned about the development platform which should be suitable to develop for. We experimented for a while integrating Angular Front End Framework with a PHP Laravel Backend Server. The motivation for this practice was to get the fast, responsive and app-like experience that angular offers while leveraging the speed of the PHP server.
Accomplishments that we are proud of
In Team M-049, we are proud to say we have made effort into completing our application at beta stage.
What we learned
We have learned deeply about the complexities that arise when analyzing problems and requirements. There are many perspectives for all types of end users and each one can have something to add to the application. Problem-solving skills are at the core of Computer Science and the IT industry.
What's next for M-049
We take this challenge as an enriching learning experience, we are thrilled to take our experience from Hajj Hackathon into the next stage in our careers and learning journeys. Applying what we learned into our future projects will surely be of a great aid.
