Inspiration

In the automotive industry, managing dealership paperwork is often a tedious and time-consuming process. We were inspired to streamline this workflow by leveraging AI technology to automate the extraction and processing of critical information from sales documents. Our goal was to reduce human error, save time, and allow dealership staff to focus more on customer service.

What it does

Kachow is an AI-powered application that automates dealership paperwork. Users can upload a scanned bill of sale in PDF format, and Kachow extracts essential information such as buyer and seller details, vehicle specifications, and sale terms. It then auto-populates official state authority forms, significantly reducing the manual effort required.

How we built it

I used pear AI's @codebase feature, pearAI's creator feature, it is amazing, i got a monthly subscription for black friday it is goated🚀

We built Kachow using: (pearAI'd v quickly)

Python for the backend logic. Streamlit for creating an interactive web interface. OpenAI's GPT-3.5 model for natural language processing and information extraction. PyPDF2 to extract text content from PDF files. Jinja2 for templating and generating the auto-filled forms. By integrating these technologies, we created a seamless pipeline from document upload to form generation.

Challenges we ran into

One of the main challenges was ensuring accurate data extraction from diverse and unstructured PDF documents. We had to refine our prompt engineering to guide the AI model effectively and handle inconsistencies in the input data. Additionally, managing API limitations and ensuring data privacy were critical concerns we addressed throughout development.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud to have developed a functional application that demonstrates the practical use of AI in automating administrative tasks. Kachow successfully reduces manual workload and minimizes errors in paperwork processing. Achieving accurate information extraction and creating a user-friendly interface were significant milestones for us.

What's next for Kachow

We plan to enhance Kachow by:

Expanding support for additional document types and formats. Improving the AI model's accuracy with continued training and better prompts. Implementing user authentication and data encryption for enhanced security. Adding compliance features to meet various state and federal regulations. Our aim is to make Kachow rizz a comprehensive solution for automating administrative tasks in the automotive industry.
