With the influx of new innovations in Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality, we wanted to explore the possibilities of Leap Motion to revolutionize gaming.
What it does
Using motion detection, the spaceship tracks your finger and follows it in a 3D universe. As you explore, you collect stars as ammo and use it to defeat the enemy airship as it chases you. By closing your fist, you unleash the stars you've collected against the enemy and weaken its health. The planets around you act as obstacles in your path.
How we built it
Software: Unity, C# Hardware: Leap Motion
Challenges we ran into
Leap Motion hardware and software integration with the Unity engine. Sometimes the hand tracking is not accurate.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We successfully integrated motion tracking into a unique user interface/user experience style polished game.
What we learned
How to set up Leap Motion more efficiently.
What's next for M.I.N.I.V.E.R.S.E
More levels with increased difficulty and additional hand gestures for more actions in the game.
