M.C.C (Master Computer Controller)

Inspiration

We were inspired by the environment around us the two main factors are our dad has started a new business and we wanted to design a software prototype that could help his productivity and security for his files and communications between his employers. The second factor is we noticed that security breaches/cyber attacks have increased drastically between the years and we want to provide a solution for the world as to how we can decrease them!

What it does

The app allows a manager in a company to access files, emails, history and data from up to 15 work computers safely and securely due to the security protocols which include password authorization, password and username requirements and a time slot for password resetting!

How we built it

Firstly we started our planning and organizing and then went on to sketching a low fidelity model on paper, which then we transformed into a figma prototype. We used many features on Figma including, components, texts and flows. To make our logo we used Canva!

Challenges we ran into

Keeping our desktops and flows organized on Figma was a challenge we faced. Sometimes we would need to recreate flows as they would not direct to the next flow fluently. Finding out a way to format all the components we wanted was also challenging as we wanted the app to be very helpful for productivity. A final challenge we faced was choosing a theme that would be efficient in keeping the user-focused, productive and happy.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Accomplishments that we're proud of are the skills we gained through this experience of making M.C.C! The skills we learnt are teamwork, problem-solving and perseverance.

What we learned

We learnt that organization is a big factor in a hackathon and is most likely the biggest factor in getting a product of your dreams made to your best ability. We also learnt how to take care of a real-life issue and adapt it to have a technological solution. The final thing we would like to mention we learnt is we learned how to prototype with Figma though it was challenging as we had never heard or seen it until two days ago but we are beyond proud that we were able to teamwork to learn a new skill!

What's next for M.C.C (Master Computer Controller)

We hope to learn how to code so that we can see our product come to life also we would love to make it in a mobile format as well so that the app is even more accessible!
