Inspiration:

Hajj is a mandatory religious duty for all Muslims, It includes the well educated and the uneducated people, all classes with different ages, different languages, and different interests in advanced technology. +2 Million Pilgrims of +200 different languages are in one place do the same cycle of worship. It is a great challenge to serve that huge number with different needs. We choose a very sensitive issue “which is Communication in the emergency situations”. We had many questions to answer:

What if a pilgrim get lost or need a medical help in +2 Millions of people of +200 different languages? Does he has a good internet connection? Does he has a smartphone or a phone to communicate? And what about deaf and unable to speak pilgrims?

What it does:

That's why we think in our “Hajj 360” solution, It is a Solution facilitate the communication in emergency situations in Hajj. even if there is no internet access.

“Hajj 360” - is a mobile app connects each pilgrim with his/her Foog Admin [Guide /agency representative] and Hajj Government services. The pilgrim can send help request [Medical help, Getting lost, need a police, lost bus location] through the app to the Foog Admin.

“Hajj 360” provide QR code to each user that can be scanned through any nearby 360 Hajj app user for any Emergency cases and through an interactive Panels [an interactive screen],

Basic phone users can use “Hajj 360” solution by sending requests through SMS

Hajj 360 enables the Foog admins to track all Foog members of pilgrims, Notify them and support them with the required help under supervision of the Hajj Operation office for fast response.

Revenue: We have a big data of real time locations, gender, age, countries, nationalities, ...etc that can be used in commercial Ads.

Challenges we ran into - ## Accomplishments that we're proud of [Value proposition]:

  • Hajj360 Solution helps all the pilgrims [Smartphone user - Non smartphone user - Non phone user].
  • Once you need help, you get it evenif there is no internet connection.
  • Overcome the different languages.
  • Easy to use especially for dump and deaf people.

How we built it

  • Android app: help pilgrims to request for services and help in one action step
  • Rest api: provide the mobile app with all data about users, locations and processing user requests
  • SMS gateway: android app act as mock for SMS gateway
  • Dashboard: monitor and support users requests for help and services Marketing & Business: Work for the elevator pitch and business work and also how to get revenue.
