Inspiration
Hajj Season is where more than 2 millions Muslims comes to perform their rituals in the Holy Lands located in Saudi Arabia. When these people come they bring cash money along. Some may be forged, stolen or hard to track. This is where our eWallet comes in. It solves these issues in a digital manner.
What it does
A Haaj (pilgrimage) can charge his account with money, he uses it to buy goods and services, or he can transfer it to another wallet account.
How we built it
We built an API using Ruby On Rails, and a mobile app using React Native. We Separated the backend from the frontend, to decouple efforts and dependencies.
Challenges we ran into
We had to cover multiple aspects of the product (UI/ Backend/ Frontend/ Deployments) in short bursts of time and a small multi-functional team of Five.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Some of the team members participated in the Guinness world record. Also, we were able to have our code working within the allowed time to work.
What we learned
Team Learned: React Native, UI/UX Design, Working with APIs, Business Modeling.
