What it does
- Lyt Bank introduces a new feature to digital banking services: Group-based payments for bill splitting
- Automated Social Payments: Lytbank replaces manual bill splitting with intelligent automation. Our AI scans receipts and group selfies to instantly calculate exactly who owes what. By integrating this with group chat and BNPL rewards, we ensure expenses are settled immediately—eliminating the need to chase friends for repayment. Imagine a world where you never have to chase for repayments after paying for an agreed upon split bill.
How we built it
- We planned using
Cursor - Develop with
Claude CLI - Used
gitto track changes - linted using
Biome - Frontend built with
bun - reviewed and validated using
CodeRabbit - deployed using
Vercel&Convex
Challenges we ran into
- We want to deploy a fully functional app hence it will be intensive due to our high achiver mindset.
- Limited time constraints made it hard to produce well tested code.
- Version Control Management was very difficult to manage.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- managed to deploy on Vercel & Convex
- use edge functions with AI services
What we learned
- How useful AI tools like CodeRabbit are for Code Reviews and Validation
- How easy it is to deploy using Vercel
- How easy it is to use Convex to setup edge functions
What's next for Lyt Bank
- More cool Fintech features
- Better validation mechanisms
- Dispute claims
