Inspiration
Many of us in our team have bad skin and don't know what to do to fix it. We searched up online tutorials on how to fix these issues but nothing worked considering how each of us have different skin types. This sparked the idea to design something that would help us solve this problem.
What it does
LYRA will give you a diagnosis of your skin, routines to improve your skin, and products you can use for your routine.
How we built it
Using HTML and NODEJS we programmed a website to take a picture of you and give you outputs of routine, diagnosis, and products to use.
Challenges we ran into
Throughout our journey, we encountered several issues with our backend and managing our time properly. Our backend was not working and we encountered several errors trying to get it to function properly. Through perseverance and hard work, we were able to get it working. Additionally we would spend too much time on certain tasks and ended up wasting a lot of time. After creating a detailed schedule and timeline we were able to prioritize tasks and finish on time.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
As mentioned previously, one of the things we were most proud of was implementing a working backend. After many failed attempts and a lot of time wasted, we were able to finish it. Additionally we were very proud of the fact that we got a working product.
What we learned
We learned a lot about making a backend and generally creating a website. It was a long process so we learned how to manage our time and delegate tasks to be efficient.
What's next for LYRA
In the future, we plan to make LYRA better. We plan on scaling this to include more features and creating an updated website design.
