Inspiration

LxQuiz was inspired by the need to make learning interactive, engaging, and exam‑ready. Many students struggle with memorization and exam preparation, so I wanted to build a tool that adapts to their pace and style, turning study sessions into a fun, competitive experience.

What it does

Generates personalized quizzes and flashcards from lecture notes or uploaded documents. Supports multiple formats: multiple choice, true/false, short answers, and coding challenges. Integrates gamification with leaderboards and progress tracking. Embeds digital literacy checkpoints (fact‑checking, bias detection, online safety).

How we built it

Backend: FastAPI for quiz generation requests and user session management. Frontend: Next js for responsive UI, with glowing green Lx ecosystem branding. Database: PostgreSQL for structured question banks. Cloud: Firebase for authentication and hosting. AI Integration: Machine learning models to analyze text and generate questions. Math Support: LaTeX rendering for math-heavy subjects, e.g.: 𝑆core=Correct AnswersT/otal Questions ×100

Challenges we ran into

Balancing accuracy vs usability in AI‑generated questions. Ensuring fairness across different question types. Scaling large question banks without performance drops. Embedding digital literacy modules without disrupting quiz flow. Adapting content to diverse national curricula.
