Inspiration

🌟 Inspiration

We were inspired by how often people spend huge amounts on luxury outfits they only wear once. Seeing this waste motivated us to build a platform that promotes affordable luxury and sustainable fashion. Our goal was to help people look stylish without contributing to textile waste or overspending.

👗 What it does

Luxe Clothing Rental allows users to rent premium outfits for weddings, parties, and events instead of buying them. The platform connects users with designer wear at a fraction of the cost, helping them save money and reduce fashion waste. It’s a digital marketplace where style meets sustainability.

🛠 How we built it

We developed the web app using:

React.js & Tailwind CSS for a sleek and responsive UI

Firebase Authentication for secure login/signup

Firestore Database for user data, rentals, and wishlist management Netlify for deploying the live platform We also built an Admin Dashboard for managing listings, users, and orders efficiently.

⚡ Challenges we ran into

Integrating real-time database updates without performance issues

Managing authentication and access control smoothly

Designing a premium-looking UI that still performs well

Balancing multiple components during limited hackathon time

Successfully launched a live functional platform

💡 What we learned

We learned how to connect front-end and back-end technologies effectively, manage real-time user data, and ensure security in authentication. We also gained experience in UI/UX design, team collaboration, and time-bound project delivery.

🚀 What's next for Luxe Clothing

Next, we plan to:

Add AI-based outfit recommendations

Launch a mobile app version

Integrate secure payment and tracking systems

Partner with local designers and boutiques to expand inventory
