What this does

Breaks down applying for free and reduced-price school lunches into 4 easy steps: applicant info, household information, contact information, and signature.

We added data review features along the way to ensure accuracy on more tedious parts of the form, like entering applicants and income information. We broke down the app into smaller steps, which allowed us to route the application so that users don't see fields that don't matter to them.

Contextual info appears on the right hand side along with handy prompts to address relevant questions as the user goes along. They also get a sprinkling of fun fitness facts.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Unfortunately, we only found out about this challenge last week, so it was a scramble to make sure we got a working prototype and plenty of user testing.
