Giving a Positive Impact and Protecting lunar lives inspired us to build LunaGuard.
What it does
Tracks resource like oxygen and water in real-time; Uses AI predictions to warn before resources run low; LUMA AI Assistant:Answers scientific queries; Safety and emergency: instantly alerts the user for warning and alerts in their area
How we built it
First designed how the app would look, then created a vite project using the CLI. Then we created our fastapi backend and connected our frontend to the backend for all data.
Challenges we ran into
Limited Dataset, maintaining low latency response, UI/UX and creating the Lunar map
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Built a functional, predictive lunar safety system prototype and gone through the challenges in 24 hours and collaboration.
What we learned
Computing designing, architecture, using fine-tuning ai models
What's next for LunaGuard
Integration with full lunar city infrastructure, AI models learning from global base data, Autonomous maintenance and robotic response systems and Adaptation for Mars missions.
