Inspiration
Our inspiration and reasoning for creating Luna was to create a solution to the lack of education on women's health in our society.
What it does
It places all the needed information on different areas of women's health in one place, along with specific resources pertaining to each category for users to have everything they need at the tip of their fingers.
How we built it
We built it by creating our UI through Figma and then adding the functionality with JavaScript in vscode.
Challenges we ran into
Challenges we ran into included having to learn new languages, such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, creating a cohesive team environment that allowed everyone to thrive, given the fact that two of our members are not very experienced with CS, and dealing with endurance, as this was our first in-person hackathon, as well as the longest hackathon we have experienced as a team.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud of being able to complete a working model of Luna, along with being able to make Luna be thorough in our final version of it.
What we learned
We learned various coding languages as well as how to convert our work in Figma to working code.
What's next for Luna
In Luna's next versions, we would like to make a working mailing list for our users, expand our resources and categories, launch our own studies specific to various understudied areas in women's health, and create a personalized quiz that gives a specific timeline of what and when to do things based on the user's age and health history.
