This inspired us to create LUNA, an AI-driven app designed to provide personalized, cycle-aligned health recommendations. By tracking the 28-day cycle, LUNA offers tailored insights on nutrition, exercise, and wellness, ensuring that women receive culturally-aware, phase-specific care that adapts to their individual needs.

What it Does

LUNA gathers user inputs to create daily, personalized recommendations on nutrition, exercise, and wellness, tailored to the user’s cycle phase. The app leverages Google Gemini to analyze cycle patterns and symptoms, making culturally-respectful health recommendations and providing mental health support aligned with each phase.

How We Built It

Built with Next.js and Vercel, LUNA integrates Google’s Gemini for personalized AI insights. With secure Google authentication, LUNA is designed to provide culturally-inclusive and encrypted data handling, ensuring privacy and security for each user’s health journey.

Challenges

Creating and end-to-end full stack web app, that has great user interface and experience, specially tailored to women. Incorporating cultural awareness into AI recommendations required careful design considerations to meet diverse user needs. We also faced technical challenges in achieving precise AI-powered personalization for various cycle phases using Gemini’s capabilities.

Accomplishments

We successfully developed an intuitive, user-centered API that delivers actionable, evidence-based health insights. LUNA not only meets healthcare needs but is aligned with cultural values, which is crucial to making our app accessible and relatable to women globally.
