Inspiration
Apart from rug-pulls and phishing scams, another common way people get scammed in the Crypto industry is employment offers, fraudulent employees and impersonators. Sometimes, developers or project leads when hiring remote workers for their project ends up been scammed by their employee who hacks and steal project funds or the project data that enables them to carry out malicious cyber attacks on the project. There are also many scam social media accounts impersonating as Celebrity plug, Centralized exchange staff, crypto influencers and other crypto service providers. This impersonators always reach out to project developers and Core team members pretending to offer them a service of individual or company they are impersonating.
In some other cases, Service providers & freelancers working with projects end up being exploited by developers or project team member who fails to pay them the money due for their work or service.
What it does
Luminous Angel marketplace is here to solve this problems. A Web3 job marketplace designed to promote trust equity and transparency in the web3 industry. Luminous Angel marketplace is your one stop shop for any crypto related job and services. Project Developers can now hire verified freelancers and service providers for their projects. We deployed the MVP of our marketplace on Telegram because from our market research, we discovered Telegram Is the most used social Application Investors, freelancers, marketers, influencers and companies used for networking in the crypto industry. However, the pitfalls of the App are equally visible with the countless stories and numerous scam tricks played by ill-meaning individuals. Some of the features required for the conceptualization included a space with a large potential audience base and also has in-built features upon which we have built a lasting foundation for Luminous Angel.
How we built it
We built it having our 3 core values in mind which are: Trust, Equity and Transparency. Trust: We integrated two methods of vetting service providers or freelancers before they are listed on the marketplace, (1) They need to submit their application and pass our team interview. (2) Afterwards their identity verification will be done by our KYC partners. This makes our platform safe for Employers and also protects the privacy of service providers because it's not compulsory for them to use their real life identity on our platform. Equity: We provide a fair play for every applicants from every part of the world without leaving anyone behind irrespective of their nationality or skin color. bringing the inclusiveness of freelancers from Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, Europe, and Australia in our platform.
Challenges we ran into
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We have secured Partnership with some leading KYC providers in the crypto space, the likes of Assuredefi.com solidproof.io idopresales.com coinsult.com
What we learned
https://crypto.jobs/ https://cryptojobslist.com/ https://laborx.com/ http://Zatmarket.com https://ibench.net/ http://optrispace.com Above are the list of other websites with the same features on our Marketplace bot today, so going in this direction was the same as following a bandwagon. There was a need for an ideal space to begin developing this concept. Some of the features required for the conceptualization included a space with a large potential audience base, one with features to inspect and evaluate the level of security of transactions between employers and service providers, among others. This is why we settled for Telegram; it contains more than 1 billion users (1/4 population of total internet users) and a total net worth of 30 billion dollars. It also has in-built features upon which we could build a lasting foundation for Luminous Angel.
Our platform truly protects the privacy of freelancers, they don't need to post their CV on our platform or use their real life name or photo. We would privately store those relevant data in our backend.
What's next for Luminous Network
We look forward to be the Hackathon winner, this will provide us funds needed to market our platform and build many more scam mitigation tools on our roadmap.
