Inspiration

The inspiration for Lumina came from a simple realization: the Web3 space is moving at light speed, and it’s easy for builders and creators to feel lost. I wanted to create a dedicated space where Web3 enthusiasts can easily "check out" the landscape and expand their horizons without the noise. As a developer and student, I saw a gap where talent was looking for a clear entry point into ecosystems like Sui and Base. Lumina was born from the desire to turn that overwhelming flow of information into a structured, AI-guided "architect" that helps anyone—from developers to community managers—build a sustainable career in the decentralized world.

What it does

Lumina serves as an intelligent career navigator for the decentralized web. By analyzing a user's current technical or non-technical profile, the platform uses Google Gemini to:

Generate Architectural Roadmaps: Provides structured, step-by-step career paths tailored to the Web3 ecosystem.

Skill-Gap Analysis: Identifies specific areas for improvement, such as mastering React, Vite, or Solidity.

Opportunity Discovery: Connects users with relevant bounties and hackathons to build their portfolios.

How we built it

The platform is built on a modern development stack designed for speed and scalability:

Frontend: Developed using React and Vite for a high-performance user interface, with Tailwind CSS for responsive styling.

AI Integration: Powered by the Google Gemini API to provide complex reasoning and personalized career guidance.

Logic: Leveraged full-stack development principles to ensure seamless data flow between the AI model and the user interface

Challenges we ran into

One of the primary hurdles was structuring the AI's output to provide accurate, actionable career advice within the rapidly evolving Web3 landscape. Balancing the technical depth required for developers with the accessibility needed for non-technical roles like Community Managers or Ambassadors required extensive prompt engineering and data validation.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Successfully integrating a sophisticated AI model like Gemini into a functional Web3 career tool. We are particularly proud of the "Architect" feature, which can take a broad goal and break it down into manageable, high-impact learning milestones

What we learned

Building Lumina deepened our understanding of the Gemini 3 model's capabilities in professional advisory contexts. We also gained significant insights into the specific barriers new entrants face when trying to contribute to decentralized projects and how AI can effectively lower those barriers

What's next for LUMINA-AI

We plan to expand Lumina by integrating direct wallet connectivity and on-chain credentialing to verify skills as users complete their roadmaps. We also aim to develop a Telegram bot to provide automated, real-time career updates and bounty alerts directly to users.
