Inspiration
Many people everyday want to get into stock trading but don't know what to get in. We made an application that helps user identify opportunities to enter the stock market.
What it does
Provides ai insight about the market sentiment and predictions for each individual stock. Our GKA allows user to interact and chat with ai to provide better understanding of their portfolio
How we built it
We used type script, JavaScript, and react for the front end, and for the back end, we used supabase in order to make our backend as a service.
Challenges we ran into
Gemini api rate limits, dependency download failures, swagger UI issues
What we learned
Learned how to implement backend as a service.
What's next for Lumen - Smart AI Investment APP
Currently Lumen uses backend as a service which is a method that is generally not used as an industry standard, we plan to switch over to a python and python fast api backend due to the strong python community and support along with speed and scalability. After the backend changes, the backend server would need to run on a computer so we would need to invest in AWS or Azure in order to run our application on the cloud along with a Kubernetes Pod structure for scalabilty.
