Inspiration

We were inspired by the idea that digital assets should be more than collectibles — they should be easy to discover, trade, and use. NFT marketplaces often feel complicated to new users, and we wanted to explore how the NEAR ecosystem could make digital ownership and marketplace interactions more accessible.

What We Built

Stellar Market is an NFT marketplace project being adapted for the NEAR ecosystem. Our goal is to give creators and collectors a simple experience for discovering digital assets and participating in a marketplace powered by blockchain technology.

By building around NEAR, we aim to explore accessible wallet interactions, transparent ownership, and on-chain transactions while keeping the user experience approachable.

How We Built It

We approached the project by combining a web-based marketplace interface with blockchain integration. The frontend focuses on browsing and interacting with digital assets, while the blockchain layer is intended to support verifiable ownership and marketplace transactions through NEAR.

What We Learned

This project gave us an opportunity to explore how marketplace applications can be adapted to a different blockchain ecosystem. We learned to think carefully about wallet connectivity, transaction flows, smart-contract responsibilities, and the importance of making blockchain interactions understandable to users.

Challenges

One of our main challenges was adapting an existing marketplace concept to NEAR rather than simply changing its branding. Blockchain ecosystems differ in their account models, transaction flows, and development tools, so the integration requires careful planning and testing.

What's Next

Our next steps are to strengthen the NEAR integration, test marketplace transactions end to end, and improve the experience for both creators and collectors. Our long-term vision is to make Stellar Market a useful starting point for discovering and exchanging digital assets in the NEAR ecosystem.
