Inspiration
A few weeks back we were talking about speakeasies. We really liked the idea of a place having a completely ____ front and a secret area in the back where the real party was going on.
What it does
Our app is the solution to a problem many people faced in the 1920's. A secret underground delivery and pickup service for alcohol. Our landing page has the appearance of a pharmacy but if you type in the secret password in the right place it will give you access to the real site.
How we built it
We built it using React, NodeJS, ExpressJS, mySQL. We decided we wanted to practice using storage resources found in the browser in the form of tokens and local-storage.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into a few challenges but the most difficult challenge we faced was figuring out how to distribute work while maintaining and occasionally detangling our git something.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Worked on a distributed team with production quality git workflow. Implemented full authentication context in Node.js backend.
