Inspiration

Financial institutions review numerous documents when onboarding business clients. Manually comparing information across these documents can be slow and prone to errors. I created Lucentra to explore how AI could make this process faster, simpler, and more reliable, creating a better client experience.

What it does

Lucentra is an AI-powered document review platform that compares multiple business PDFs, identifies conflicting information, and presents discrepancies in an organized report to help users determine what needs further review.

How we built it

I built Lucentra using React, Vite, and CSS for the frontend, Node.js and Express for the backend, and Google's Gemini AI for document analysis. PDF parsing extracts document text, which Gemini analyzes to identify inconsistencies.

Challenges we ran into

My biggest challenges were integrating Gemini AI, configuring Google Cloud authentication, connecting the frontend and backend, and resolving technical issues under tight hackathon deadlines.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I developed a full-stack AI-powered prototype capable of processing multiple documents and identifying potential discrepancies. Despite unexpected challenges and limited time, I turned my concept into a functioning application.

What we learned

I gained hands-on experience with full-stack development, API integration, Google Cloud, and AI-powered document processing.

What's next for Lucentra

I hope to expand Lucentra with additional document formats, stronger verification capabilities, improved security, and integrations with financial institutions' existing onboarding systems.
