Inspiration
I hear my friends say "I have to lock in" a lot more than see them lock in and thought this tool would be useful for people who struggle to figure out why they can't lock in; for myself I like to maximize my time and not have "fodder" time, so it is also for people who want do more with their day.
What it does
The tool bluntly points out exactly what time in their day is being used and what's not being used effectively, and for those who always feel behind it provides pathways on how to optimize their day. Conversely, for those who feel awfully on top of their stuff and want to do more, provides opportunities for them to explore their interests and further maximize their time. Additionally, Gemini is built in to the product to parse PDFs/Class syllabi, behave as a personalized mentor, and integrate additional features on-demand to my scheduler (such as quick implementation of a pre-existing calendar).
How we built it
With a combination of Lovable for the UI, Cursor for scaffolding, Gemini for the site backend, Voiskey for quick feature implementation, and Grok Bots for task allocation this product was born.
Challenges we ran into
Making a smooth user experience; the product was hazy when I first started building it, but as I went on there were ways to easier to use for anyone who just got on, enough for me to comfortably use it for my own purposes. Also I hit the rate limit for the Gemini API key really early.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Having the product pull sources from actual real life opportunities that are available now, as well as scaling the importance and priority of of tasks.
