Elevator Pitch
Tales of yesterday paint the lyrics of tomorrow’s songs. Music grants feelings, lyrics recount stories and songs transcend through time. LSD provides listeners with the ability to pick a song and generate visual imagery for the lyrics for any art theme!
Inspiration
Incentivizing on the grounds of Stable Diffusion, we aim to create a more holistic experience of music visualization based on preferred art themes using Open AI for features like Sentiment Analysis and DALL-E.
What it does
Sailing on the concepts of expanding images beyond what’s on paper to creating expansive new compositions, LSD makes Lucrative Song Depictions to add thematic experiences to users of the audio-visual industry.
How we built it
Diffusion - Learning the relationship between images and the text used to describe them helps create patterns of random dots and gradually alters that pattern towards an image when it recognizes specific aspects of that image.
Challenges we ran into
We noticed that we had a limited number of Dall-E credits to toy around with, which meant that we had to focus on getting the code running within a limited number of tries. We also faced issues with a team member falling sick and having to pull it and we were able to successfully team up with someone of similar experience and duly complete the project!
Accomplishments that we're proud of
From non-coders to first-time hackers, our team consists of a great diaspora of people from different majors, technical backgrounds and hackathon experiences. Divulging 36 hours into this project gave us insight into the powerful technology we currently possess in interactive visual imagery and AI.
What we learned
During the course of this hackathon, we were successfully able to learn several new frameworks such as Angular, and APIs like Spotify, OpenAI, Musicxmatch, and Genius. Our efforts in diving deep into the field have exponentially expanded our understanding of advancements in the field and ignited innovation. Every single team member was able to uniquely add to the project and collectively integrate ideas and implement efficiency.
What's next for LSD - Lucrative Song Depictions
As a team, we intend to carry this project beyond the time boundaries of this hackathon to include features such as choosing multiple artistic themes, providing a list of trending searches, and expanding on our choices of artistic periods. We also would like to implement an intelligent, interactive chatbot through which the user can get their questions answered about how they can use the website. Another way to increase engagement with the community would be to partner with local artists and create an equivocal sense of giving back to the community.
