Inspiration

I want to design new mechanical ventilators for COVID-19. Note, the drawings are enough clear to understand them even I use French language, I used schematics normalized drawing for the first device and I draw images for the second. Tell me if you need an english translation.

What it does

It help people to breath

How I built it

The first device is a pneumatic device, it is possible to build in standard industry like vehicles. Just need to be assembled. The electronics parts are not essential to survive but it is easier to adjust the device.

The second device is for countries that don't have money, all the parts can come from a home, DIY mechanical ventilator. I think again on that device maybe I need to add some correction but like time lack to humanity I give and think again in the same time.

Challenges I ran into

Use low tech parts like butane regulator instead of a medical regulator, think with electronic but only to display data, choose parts outside the medical parts for the availability. Allow people to build a DIY device.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Only 10 days to invent them. In fact, I thought I could do it before 3 or 4 days but the second device came after.

What I learned

Medical physical parameters that a people need to breath. I learned medical skills.

What's next for Low cost mechanical ventilator

Verify the devices and adjust them if necessary. After give to people if they needed. The time rushes.
