Inspiration
In recent years, mental health problems have become a prevalent issue in Singapore. It is important for people to maintain a good mental health as it contributes to a higher quality of life. That’s why our group came up with “Lovelf”, which is a combination of the words “Love” and “myself”.
What it does
Treenhole (journalling) Self-care practices (meditation and yoga) Helpline (chatbox function and hotlines) These 3 features allow users to understand themselves better, promoting good mental health.
How we built it
We used flask to run our web app. For the different pages, we used html and css to style it. As we have a treehole journal function, we need a database to store the input data, so we used sqlite to do this.
Challenges we ran into
- Time constraints
- not really proficient in javascript so there is a lack of interactive features.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- Navigation bar
- nice UI
- user-friendly
- Displaying of past 3 journals
What we learned
- Using replit to collaborate
- Learn more about css (float, position and grid)
- More familiar with sqlite
What's next for Lovelf - Mental Well-being Web App
- Mood tracker (see how their mood changes over the month)
- Self-help tools (access articles and videos)
