Inspiration

The idea is inspired by the movie Her which talks about a man flirts with an AI with voice only. As the language model and AR technology become more mature now. It is possible to combine these two elements into one app.

What it does

This simulator allows people to have a dating experience not only in virtual world but also with a real-world experience with the help of ARCore. Additionally, with the help of OpenAI's natural language processing technology, players can make use of natural language to communicate with their virtual date and engage in meaningful conversations.

There are also some AR mini games inside to raise player's engagement. Through the chatting and different interactions, players could gain favorability from the virtual avatar.

Challenges we ran into

We use a lot of time to figure out how to simulate the AR effect with Playback and Record AR Session.

What's next for LovAR

More avatars will be added. And Google Map will be integrated in the game, so player could trigger special event in special places.
