Inspiration
Love and acceptance are learned at any early age and it's important for families to demonstrate these values to little ones from the beginning. Often times, omitting LGBTQ topics and issues from conversation can allow feelings of shame and negative behaviors take root, which are harmful not only to children, but to the LGBTQ community as a whole. So we thought of creating a website consisting of various resources related to lbgtq community to aware children about otherness from childhood.
What it does
LAP (Loud and Proud) is a website containing various resources to aware and teach children about the lbgtq community from childhood. The website has various blogs, videos, books, comics to aware children about our lbgtq community. We have also created a games corner consisting of some of the retro 90's games to enjoy!
How we built it
We have used only HTMl, CSS and JS for the whole website including the Games section
Challenges we ran into
Coding and debugging of the games corner was difficult, and of course being a team of two managing the time was an obstacle
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Being both of us front end web developers we're proud to be able to make a website without any back end developers with us.
What's next for Loud and Proud
We're thinking of adding chatting feature and a digital diary as next steps
