What inspired me

My inspiration came from my daughter, who goes to school and used to tell me that her classes were very boring, so I wondered what a better way for teachers to teach their students would be, and that is where the idea of creating a fun game came from.

What it does and who it's for

Loter-IA is an app designed for teachers and powered by artificial intelligence, inspired by the traditional board game called Lotería, very similar to bingo, but instead of numbers and letters, it uses drawings and pictures. The teacher only has to choose the topic of the Lotería and the language, then press the button to generate the Lotería, and the artificial intelligence takes care of it, giving the teacher a total of 24 cards. The teacher asks for the number of boards needed and can generate a PDF file with all the boards to print, just by pressing the Download boards PDF button. Once the boards are printed and handed out to the students, the teacher starts calling the cards, sliding through them one by one and able to go back to the previous card.

How I built it

This app was built following the contest's guides, with the support of artificial intelligence: first we defined exactly what the app would be like, then we started building it, and along the way we kept making improvements.

Challenges I faced

At times the app did not work well: it did not give the required number of cards, or it failed in the translation or in the drawings. The artificial intelligence helped me solve that.

What I learned

I learned that every venture is a matter of trial and error until you reach the goal you want.
