Losing something is annoying. Finding a post that might be yours, then having no easy way to prove it, makes things even more frustrating. That's the problem I wanted to explore with LostLoop.
The idea is pretty straightforward: post a lost or found item, give people enough information to recognize it, and keep one identifying detail out of the public listing. When someone claims a found item, the person who reported it can compare the explanation against that clue before deciding what to do.
I learned that the small details in a workflow matter. Showing too much information can make a claim less trustworthy, but showing too little makes an item hard to find. The claim process tries to balance those two things.
I built the prototype with Freebuff, using browser storage for the reports and claims. AI coding assistant helped me with implementation, and I checked workflows you actually tested.
