Inspiration

A Bollywood movie "Bhoot" is my inspiration for this filter. I wanted to create the ghost/lost soul sort of filter for people to take selfie picture or video clips.

What it does

Adds face filter over the person in the focus of the camera along with creating a darker background.

How I built it

I used the SparkAR hub tool for creating this filter.

Challenges I ran into

I came across multiple challenges while working on the project as follow:

  • Learning the SparkaR Hub tool over a short period of time (_ super fun _)
  • Adding effects as I had imagined and designed
  • Managing the movement of the face with effects and making the transaction of the effects smoother

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Having hands-on experience over super fun tool aka SparkAR Hub and it has opened more possibilities for expanding my creativity and development skillset

Also, with the insights information, makes me really happy and proud of the work being used and liked by people.

What I learned

I learned about the SparkAr Hub, about the AR and creating filters used over Facebook & Instagram

What's next for Lost Soul

I want to expand the features of the filter as follow:

  • Have a dynamic face filter to change based on face expression
  • Have a dynamic background to change based on face expression
  • Add different ghost kinda face mask
  • Have touch option for the user to allow them to change face mask
