What it does

This is a game about exploring different cultures through languages. The user is given a sentence from a certain language and has to guess it correctly. Consecutive correct guesses increase the streak. If the guess is wrong, the streak is broken but the player is given some hints to get it right. This is a fun way to see the different languages the world has.

How we built it

Using HTML, JavaScript, and CSS. Using GitHub to collaborate and JSON file (stored on a JSON hosting site) to hold data. We hosted the website using Firebase Hosting.

Challenges we ran into

MySQL integration Browser storage Git from multiple users with merge conflicts.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

JSON file reading and creating. JavaScript-based programming.

What we learned

We learned web development that incorporates Javascript, CSS, and HTML as well as how to host a website using Firebase.

What's next for Lost in Translation

-Creating a leaderboard -login user system. -Cleaning up the UI
