Inspiration
We wanted to find a way to improve lost and found services for people.
What it does
It makes it extremely easy to report whether you have lost or found an item.
How we built it
We built it by collaborating the whole way through and by applying everyone's strengths to the right places of interest.
Challenges we ran into
We were unable to add an AI to help filter some of the items that people may have lost. If there are a 1000 submissions, being able to quickly and precisely filter out items would've been a great additional feature.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are all proud of creating a useful and working beta of the website. We’re eager to improve it to a point where it becomes a helpful tool for everyone.
What we learned
We learned a lot about the use of APIs and the significance of databases.
What's next for Lost and Found
First task for us is to add the AI feature. After that we will work on security to make sure no one tries to abuse the system. This is a site meant to help people around the city search for lost items.
