Inspiration

Our inspiration was finding a way to prevent the spread of germs during Covid-19 and one of the most touched services and sites for bacteria is door handles.

What it does

Automatically opens door when and NFC tag is scanned either on a phone or a student/company ID. This would eliminate contact with door knows which are a high contact service.

How we built it

We were not able to build an actual model in the time period but we have a very good idea of how this would work.

Challenges we ran into

A challenge we ran into was not having enough time to actually make an app or an RFID scanner sample.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of our idea and the scope it could potentially have.

What we learned

We learned a lot about RFID scanners and NFC tag through our research in coming up with the logistics for this project.

What's next for LOREM IPSUM

Any college campus or other facility that uses an RFID scanner for building access can benefit from this so we hope we can expand this idea to reach a variety of scenarios.
