Inspiration
I love learning with tools like Anki and Duolingo or notebooklm so i wanted to build a learning tool that is local and easy to use
What it does
we give bunch of webmcp tools to the agent that uses the chatgpt site so it can create courses track your progress make cool artifacts easily,
How we built it
I vibe coded it using 5.6 sol and Fable :D
Challenges we ran into
Making the visuals differentiate from other tools was different and making paths for users i couldnt describe to the agents correctly so i had to use some screenshots etc but it turned out fine also getting the artifacts right took bit of time
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The app works and its fun its fun to learn stuff i want to polish it further so more people use it!
What we learned
Agents are excellent authors when the tool surface teaches them how to teach. A next pointer in every return, a worklist of gaps, and pedagogy warnings like "wall of text" or "no visual block" improved course quality more than any amount of description text. Progressive disclosure matters for models too: paint the roadmap first, then fill it in. And the best place for a model in a learning app might be outside the app entirely, in the conversation the learner already has open.
What's next for Lore
- Agent-authored podcast episodes played by the built-in speech engine (the tool already exists; the player needs a proper "listen" mode).
- Two-way tutoring
- Longer courses that evolve: insert_lesson driven by weak concepts in get_progress_report, so the agent keeps writing where you keep missing.
- Import and export of a course as a single file, so a course one agent wrote can be shared with another learner.
- Testing with more WebMCP clients as they appear, and a proper mobile pass.
